This film is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Nepal’s mountains, the film follows a journey of compassion, love, and transformation as Maggie Doyne dedicates her life to caring for orphaned children. It reminds us that even in the face of immense challenges, hope can rise—and that one person’s courage to act can change countless lives.

This film is co-presented by humanitarian program director Ellen Baxter of the Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Saturday, May 17th, 8:00 PM

A Complete Unknown dives into the early days of Bob Dylan’s rise from a drifting troubadour to a defining voice of a generation. Set in the smoky clubs and restless streets of 1960s New York, the film captures the raw ambition, the poetic fire, and cultural upheaval that shaped a legend before the world ever knew his name.

This film is a gripping, inspiring documentary that reveals how ordinary people helped create peace. Through archival footage and first-hand accounts, it tells the untold story of the grassroots movement that rose up against President Nixon’s plans to escalate the Vietnam War. It’s a reminder of the power of collective action, and how the courage of many can alter the course of history.

Beautiful Boy is a deeply moving portrait of love, addiction, and the unbreakable bond between a father and son.

Based on the real-life memoirs of David and Nic Sheff, the film traces their parallel journeys through heartbreak and hope as they navigate the realities of substance abuse. It's a powerful reminder that recovery is never linear—and love endures through even the most difficult chapters.
